Sony's Rolly music player / robot coming to the US this spring

Everyone's favorite, lovable, and totally confusing music player / dancing speaker is coming to the States this spring. As we've extensively detailed, the odd little oval is packed with all kinds of zany abilities, not the least of which is playing MP3 or AAC files via Bluetooth with A2DP off of its 2GB (which is an improvement on the Japanese version's 1GB) of flash memory. No word on price right now, but you won't care once you see how darn cute the little guy is.

History definitely going tickle Panasonic or Sanyo in the area of mini-camcorders, Sony has announced for Europe's new camcorder, or rather the TG3 HDR-TG3 for intimate. To have had the hands, it's clear that this is a beautiful object, it is less mastodon as its counterpart at Sanyo, it is lighter and it is very fast start-up, both for the photos for the video. Regarding the touch screen, it is in itself sufficient, but may be a little chouilla for inspection. Similarly 4 Megapixels for the photo is a bit lighter though sufficient for photos and memories they are always better quality than what offer the latest mobile phones. I loved the pavement, a little rubbery, very appéciable! In any case, as I had in hand, so here are photos of the beast lives!

Sony Mylo 2
The Sony Mylo is back (remember that little Wi-Fi messaging device?), and it's looking a bit more mature and wiser after learning some lessons the first go-round. Available for $299 (in black or white), the Sony Mylo Communicator 2 has a new look and more features, including a camera, widgets, direct downloads/uploads, and AIM and YouTube support, but is it all enough to lure the young'uns? Sadly, we don't think so. Sure, there may be a small audience that will be lured by the handheld but its downfall is the lack of cellular technology. We understand that Sony isn't trying to go after the cell phone market with the Mylo COM2 and that it's aimed at 14- to 22-year olds.

Lenovo's Ideapad U8 MID teases with Intel's Atom

Oh my. Look at what Lenovo is cooking up with the help of Intel's newest Atom processor. Unveiled at Intel's IDF in Shanghai, the new Ideapad U8 device features a 4.8-inch touchscreen display and bullseye, optical mouse for (supposedly) one-handed operation while surfing the web over EDGE or 3G data -- presumably China's TD-SCDMA. The device also features "Live GPS," hand written note taking, and support for MS Office applications. We're guessing it'll also make a phone call or two with that 12-key numeric pad. And with Intel calling this a MID, don't expect to see a Microsoft OS riding that Atom, this pup's looking Linux to the bone. Check the video after the break. This is the IdeaPad U8 from Lenovo. With Intel's Atom chip inside it, the Mobile Internet Device has an optical mouse to let you fiddle one-handed, supports 3G and EDGE, has GPS, a 4.8-inch touchscreen, a Paul Smith-esque striped back (hope that stays) and an annoying ambient bongo player (either that goes or I do.) Video after the jump.

The Asus Eee PC Desktop image

While it still has no real info on the PC Eee in its desktop version, here is what it will look, at least, after the first rumors!

We've all been waiting to see what ASUS's Eee PC desktop would turn out to look like, and HotHardware is claiming these shots are the real deal. Yeah, we know, it's a bit reminiscent of a certain motion-sensing game console, but besides these kind of grainy photos we've still got almost nothing to go by. Yet!

The BenQ SP870 (5000 ANSI lumen) and SP831 (4000 ANSI lumen) will come with a fair bit of enhancements which will optimize lamp output for exceptional color, clarity and brilliance despite being in a brightly lit environment. They're not meant for use at home, but are more suitable at lecture halls, auditoriums, board rooms and museums instead. With a contrast ratio of 2,000:1, viewing fine details like text, data, spreadsheets and charts in razor-sharp clarity and precise color would be a snap.

It's perfect for places where space is limited, like partition rooms, small conference rooms, lecture halls or classrooms where physical layout forces the projector to be up close to the screen.
